As seen from my bathroom window, that's 3.8 miles away according to Google Maps...to me this proves my Canon S2 kicks butt!

Now then regarding the Radio, Radio factor, here's the pertinent relevance per Wikipedia:

"About 15 million pounds (7,000 t) of concrete were used to make the foundation of the tower, and the tower weighs 3.7 million pounds (1,700 t). To make it as earthquake proof as was practical, two thirds of the weight of the structure is below ground level and the center of gravity of the structure is sixteen feet below ground level. It is used to transmit 10 analog, 11 digital TV stations and 4 FM radio stations to the San Francisco Bay area. The tower is owned by Sutro Tower, Inc., which in turn is owned by the four main television stations KTVU, KRON, KPIX and KGO with usage leased to other Bay Area TV and radio stations."

See radio was even referred to twice in the above paragraph, doubling my relevance score.

Now as to long being a blight on our otherwise chock-filled with monuments landscapes: Transamerica Bldg., GGB, Coit Tower, Alcatraz, Ferry Building, City Hall, etc., it IS the only one visible from ANY of my windows. Thus, I sort of in a perverse way LIKE it. There I admitted to something that could get me SHOT at here in San Fran, if any one carried a gun, that is. So maybe I'd just get pelted with flower petals of something equally soft and peaceful. ;p
